About The Class

You must be 21+ years of age to attend.

This 3hr class includes:

You must show safe firearm loading and handling practices during this class and receive a passing score to be qualified.

Live fire qualification for up to 3 firearms. You must qualify with each of the firearms to be able to carry them with your permit. This is a strict PASS / FAIL course of fire. With up to 3 firearms.

Course of fire will depend on what county you will apply to. The instructor will cover qualification process with you in class. We recommend the following counties- LOS ANGELES, FRESNO, MADEERA, TRINITY, LAKE, KINGS, SHUTTER, and CONTRA. We will have all required paperwork for these counties for you at class.

If you like to pick a different county you will need to provide the course of fire requirements and certificate to be signed by instructor to us at class for each firearm.

AFTER THE SHOOTING PORTION (This Information will be emailed to you):

  • You will schedule your online course. 
  • Apply for a permit, submit paperwork – get pre-approved. And complete the online course while you wait.
  • Finalize paperwork and get the permit.

Students must bring the following equipment:

  • In order for firearms to be legal in California, they cannot hold more than 10rounds, no optics, lights, or threaded barrels in class.
  • NO LOADED FIREARMS. ALL FIREARMS MUST BE CASED!
  • Your own handgun(s)
  • 100 rounds required per firearm – of factory-loaded ammunition BRING EXTRA AMMO. IN CASE YOU HAVE TO TRY AGAIN.
  • 2 mags per gun YOU CAN BRING HIGH CAPACITY MAGS TO CLASS. Just can’t take them to CA.
  • You will need a holster for each firearm If you have one. Only outside the waistband holsters are allowed. For all handguns – no other type of holsters allowed
  • A sturdy shooting belt
  • Ear and eye protection
  • Dress according to weather conditions, we hold the class in all conditions
  • No lowcut shirts and only closed toe shoes
  • Water

Where The Class Is

  • Location: Blacks Creek Range, 2420 Kuna Mora Rd, Kuna, ID 83634

Class will begin at 9:00am. Be at the range 15 minutes EARLY. Do not stop nor park at the big building above the range, follow the road past the big building and down to the range. Look for a black truck and white trailer.

Refund Policy

NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED FOR GETTING DENIED BY CALIFORNIA. We understand that schedules can change or for whatever reason and you may be unable to attend the class for which you have registered. We have determined that our class fees are non-refundable for any reason. We will, however, allow you to reschedule 1 time ONLY, and participate in a future class at no charge if 72 hrs. notice has been given. If we have not received a minimum of 72 hr. notice from you a $75.00 fee will be charged to reschedule per person. Please send us an email 72 hrs. prior to missing a class to let us know the future date you like to attend. We will try to make sure we have a spot available. NO SHOWS WILL NOT BE RESCHEDULED. CLASSES MAY BE CANCELLED AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON BY IFC. IF A CLASS IS CANCELLED BY IFC YOU WILL ONLY BE RESCHEDULED TO ANOTHER CLASS ASAP NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED. CLASS MAY BE AT A DIFFERENT LOCATION.
