HANDGUN QUALIFICATIONS. WE START AT 9AM SHARP.
Qualification classes should be taken once per year as continued effort of proof of responsible training and proficiency.
Boost your favorability in court in case of a self-defense incident. One of the first questions will be “do you know how to use your firearm? Are you proficient with your firearm? The answer should be yes. But how do you prove it? Being able to show documentation like a certificate of proficiency will do that for you.
There is no substitute for in-person training with a certified firearms instructor. Every responsible gun owner should take an in-person class to truly sharpen his or her skills, build confidence and forge a protector mindset.
IFC Equipment Maintenance fee $10.00 & Range fee is $10.00 per person per class please have exact change ready. $20.00 (Paid in cash.)
LEVEL 1 QUALIFICATION
DRILL 1 YOU WILL GET 1 PRACTICE ROUND. AND 1 QUALIFICATION ROUND. 50 ROUNDS EACH. YOU MUST HIT 9 OUT OF 10 FROM EACH DISTANCE.
DRILL ONE
You will complete a series of basic handgun marksmanship challenges meant to test your accuracy at different ranges. There will be NO time limits. This is purely a test of your accuracy with your self-defense handgun.
Stage 1: target at 3 yards away from you. Fire 10 rounds at the 9-inch center circle. NO time limit.
Stage 2: target at 5 yards away from you. Fire 10 rounds at the 9-inch center circle. NO time limit.
Stage 3: target at 7 yards away from you. Fire 10 rounds at the 9-inch center circle. NO time limit.
Stage 4: target at 10 yards away from you. Fire 10 rounds at the 9-inch center circle. NO time limit.
Stage 5: target at 15 yards away from you. Fire 10 rounds at the 9-inch center circle. NO time limit.
DRILL TWO
We will simulate stress with timed drills. But you are also responsible for every round you fire in a self-defense situation. So, you must also accurately hit your target 100% of the time.
STEP 1: At 4 yards Load & Shoot Drill 1st attempt is the practice round. Time: 6 seconds x 2 repetitions scored (3 rounds/rep) must score 100% each repetition.
Put firearm on table with the slide locked back and mag out. 3 rounds loaded in meg placed next to firearm on table. DRILL – LOAD SHOOT BACK TO TABLE 6 SECOMDS.
STEP 2: At 4 yards Load & Shoot Drill 1st attempt is the practice round. Time: 12 seconds x 2 repetitions scored (6 rounds/rep) must score 100% each repetition.
Put firearm on table with the slide locked back and mag out. 3 rounds loaded in 2 mags placed next to firearm on table. DRILL – TURN AWAY FROM TABLE, THAN TURN TO FACE TARGET LOAD SHOOT RELOAD SHOOT BACK TO TABLE 12 SECOMDS.
STEP 3: At 4 yards Load & Shoot Drill 1st attempt is the practice round. Time: 15 seconds x 2 repetitions scored (6 rounds/rep) must score 100% each repetition.
Put firearm on table with the slide locked back and mag out. 3 rounds and 1 random dummy round loaded in each of the 2 mags placed next to firearm on table. DRILL – LOAD FIRE CLEAR MELFUNCTION SHOOT RELOAD SHOOT CLEAR MELFUNCTION SHOOT BACK TO TABLE 15 SECONDS

Refund Policy
We understand that schedules can change or for whatever reason you may be unable to attend the class for which you have registered. We have determined that our class fees are non-refundable for any reason. We will, however, allow you to reschedule 1 time ONLY and participate in a future class at no charge if 72 hr notice has been given. If we have not received a minimum of 72 hr notice from you a $50.00 fee will be charged to reschedule per person. Please send us an email 72 hrs prior to missing a class to let us know the future date you like to attend. We will try to make sure we have a spot available. NO SHOWS WILL NOT BE RE SCHEDULED. CLASSES MAY BE CANCELED AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON. IF A CLASS IS CANCELED BY IFC YOU WILL BE RESCHEDULED ONLY TO ANOTHER CLASS ASAP NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED. MAY BE AT A DIFFERENT LOCATION.
