This firearms training course introduces the student to unorthodox shooting positions and techniques with the handgun & rifle that can be used when fighting from the ground or injured during a violent confrontation. The techniques presented in this firearms training course have been established from real world situations that law enforcement officers and lawfully armed citizens have experienced during deadly force encounters with violent assailants. During violent assaults, it is not uncommon to be knocked to the ground or injured when these situations occur which may result in having to perform shooting, reloading techniques and clearing malfunctions with only one hand. YOU WILL BE BROUGHT OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE.

The following firearms training topics will be covered:

Fighting while wounded Principals of personal defense. Mental conditioning and combat mindset. Combat gun-handling skills. Transition from strong hand to support hand. Reloading the semi-automatic pistol & rifle with one hand. Clearing malfunctions and stoppages with one hand.

Engaging threats using the support hand only. Moving off the line and lateral displacement. Engaging threats, one handed only while shooting on the move or from cover to cover.

Engaging threats from the supine position and fighting back to standing. Engaging threats while lying on the strong side. Engaging threats while lying on the support side. Engaging threats from the prone position and fighting back to standing.

Engaging threats from the seated position on the ground and fighting back to standing. Use of the flash sight picture vs. perfect sight alignment. CQB continuous engagement flow drills.

Weapon retention training: If you carry concealed with the intent of using a gun to defend yourself, the last thing you want to happen is for it to be taken away and used against you. As a concealed carry weapon owner, you must know how to retain control of your gun at all times. Learn to protect and keep your weapon safe and in your possession while in its normal carry position, during an assault or physical confrontation or after you have drawn it during an encounter.
